Panic swept the weary passengers when a passenger jet skidded off the runway at an airport in Black Sea province of Trabzon in northern Turkey. The plane was stuck on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea.
The Pegasus Airlines Boeing 737-800 flew from Ankara before landing in Trabzon on late Saturday. There were 168 passengers on board as the plane skidded off the runaway, and moved away toward the cliff.
There were no injuries or casualties, Governor Yucel Yavuz said.
